The night before our daughter was born I took a photo of the view from our bedroom window looking out into Caiazzo. Less than 12 hours later our daughter was born in that same room just a few steps away from where I took the photo. I knew we had to capture the moment in a more classic way than a photo, something that could be a family treasure for years to come. I found Sarah and knew she was the perfect artist to do it. She was incredible to work with, receptive to adjustments that I wanted in the photo, even added elements that weren’t in the original photo (like a stray cat that started to visit our house regularly). We are so happy with the painting, and I know our daughter will proudly hang it in her home one day.

Sara created a painting of my wife and I from a favourite photograph for a special birthday present. From the start the whole experience was collaborative – Sara asked how I’d like the painting laid out, suggested some tweaks to the background and kept me informed throughout the process. Once the painting was ready she asked if any amendments were needed and she wasn’t happy until I was. The end result was perfect – an incredible likeness. There was an issue with shipping through no fault of Sara’s and she chased the courier company continually until it finally arrived. Sara is a very talented artist and her creation made such a special present that will become a family heirloom. If you are considering commissioning a painting you should definitely talk to her!
